Constructed in the same manner as the full sized Mirror Dinghy, this 1:6 scale radio controlled model sailboat kit is a scale builder's dream!
The kit features laser cut wood parts, scale rudder (with working tiller), removable centreboard, pre-sewn sails, detailed instructions, pre-cast ballast bulb, working running rigging and all fittings.
The Mirror Dinghy was the winning entry in a design competition sponsored by the London Daily Mirror Newspaper. Designed by Jack Holt and Barry Bucknell, the Mirror has become one of the world's most popular designs. Since its appearance at the London Boat Show of 1963, over 70,000 have been constructed. This beautiful boat is now available as a 1:6 scale radio controlled model. The kit has been designed to be built in the same 'Stitch and Glue' construction as the real boat and ll wood pieces have been laser cut.
The kit also includes a main and jib with bolt rope and jib hanks, a pre-cast ballast bulb, fibreglass tape and wire for stitching and a detailed instruction booklet.
The model sails very realistically and is easily transported thanks to the removable keel and retracting gaff.
Whether used as radio control or simply displayed as a master piece for your living room, you will be amazed with the results.
