The model was designed to a scale of 1:200, using shipyard documents.
The kit contains the finished plastic hull which substantially shortens the construction time. The hull dimensions do permit the installation of multi-channel remote control.

The kit is supplied complete with detailed fitting set which features anchors, life-boats, radar, etc.

Laid down in 15 April 1936, Prinz Eugen was launched in August 1938 entered service in August 1940; armed with a main battery of eight 20.3 cm (8 in) guns.
Prinz Eugen displaced 16,970 t (16,700 long tons) as built and 19,050 t (18,750 long tons) fully loaded with an overall length of 212.5 m (697 ft 2 in), a beam of 21.7 m (71 ft 2 in) and a maximum draft of 7.2 m (24 ft).
Prinz Eugen was powered by three Blohn & Voss steam turbines, which developed a total of 135,619 shp (101,131 kW) and yielded a maximum speed of 32 knots (59 kmh; 37 mph) on speed trials
